Midwest Climate Collaborative Summer Intern

Students at Washington University in St. Louis are invited to apply to be the 2025 Summer Intern.

The Midwest Climate Collaborative (MCC) is a project of Washington University, hosted by the Center for the Environment, working at a regional level to accelerate climate action. We are bringing together representatives from higher education, local government, business, and the nonprofit sectors across the Midwest to craft and implement responses to the climate crisis.

The summer internship program will focus on supporting local communities in advancing clean energy projects by highlighting existing efforts and providing a mechanism for funder matchmaking. In addition, the successful candidate will be engaged in a variety of MCC activities, including the Midwest Climate Research Agenda, the Climate Resource Network, drafting e-newsletters, writing blog pieces, tracking climate commitments across the region, and preparing for the 2026 Midwest Climate Summit.

This is a full-time position over the summer, with the potential for further opportunities during the 2026 school year. This position offers a unique chance to network with other climate researchers and practitioners across the region. To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to midwestclimatecollaborative@wustl.edu by April 15.
