The Summit provides students with a unique platform to connect with experts, collaborate with peers, and explore actionable solutions for the climate challenges we face in our region. All students receive discounted prices for registration.
By attending, students will:
- Access all workshops, including a mobile workshop showcasing local climate initiatives.
- Participate in a student-only event on April 30 to connect with peers and prepare for the Summit.
- Benefit from the new Summit Mentorship Program, pairing them with experienced climate professionals.
- Hear from keynote speaker Mandela Barnes, founder of Forward Together Wisconsin and former Lt. Governor, who will share inspiring stories of collaboration and action.
Student Information Packet
To help students learn more, we’ve created an information packet. The packet includes details about the Summit, how to register, and what students can expect to gain from attending.

Online Information Session
Additionally, we’ll be hosting an online information session on February 20, 2025, at 6 PM CT. This session is an excellent chance for students to ask questions, learn about the Summit agenda, and get excited about participating! If students plan to attend the Summit, we highly recommend they come to the information session.
Please reach out to MCC Intern Ella Hyman (e.g.hyman@wustl.edu) or Summit Intern Julian Heppen-Ibanez (heppenibanez@wisc.edu) with any questions about student involvement at the 2025 Midwest Climate Summit.
