The MCC is offering TWO pre-summit grant trainings on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in Madison, WI. While the date aligns with the 2025 Midwest Climate Summit, it is a separate event. You can attend the training and not the conference, and vice versa. There are limited spots, so sign up now!

GRANT READY WORKSHOP, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
This workshop is for you . . .
- Are you thinking of starting a nonprofit and seeking funding?
- Do you want to be a resource in your community to assist local organizations with state/federal grant readiness?
- Interested in expanding your network and optimizing proposal language for current funding priorities?
The “Grant Ready” workshop is an all-day, hands-on workshop for participants to work on personal areas of need or interest and have all the prerequisites completed to apply for grants!
This full-day session is divided into two parts. The morning covers essential processes like SAM.gov registration and forming an LLC/non-profit, providing resources to support local organizations. In the afternoon, choose between actively working on these applications or networking and refining your proposal content for greater success in today’s political landscape. Bringing a project idea is recommended to discuss alignment, terminology, and potential partnerships.

The “Grant Processes” workshop is best suited for non-profit professionals, educators, small-business owners and community organizers who are new to the grant making process OR are looking for resources to help support local organizations understand how to seek external funding. The workshop provides a high level overview of the grant process, covering topics ranging from the types of external funding to how to analyze opportunities to budget development. Plus, discover techniques and terminology to boost proposal competitiveness and strategically frame your submissions for today’s current political landscape.
