DOE BUILT Grant Support with Special Guests
Many thanks to Haley Harrison of TechWerx and DOE’s Gretchen Gigley for providing an overview of the DOE BUILT Grant and fielding last minute questions from our attendees! The deadline to submit applications is November 12th.
Some highlights from our Q&A:
- The DOE’s BETTER Tool can be used to help applicants determine energy savings estimates.
- All applicants must own the building, but do not need to own the land the building sits on.
- BUILT Grant funding cannot be used for energy audits at this time.
- If an organization operates under a different name than what is on documentation verifying ownership, do not let that be a barrier to applying and reach out to info@techwerx.org to troubleshoot.
- Cost-share cannot include already awarded federal funds.
- See here for more FAQs on TechWerx website! (Scroll to the bottom)
- If you have additional questions leading up to the application deadline, please email info@techwerx.org
