- $50 million To help small and medium-sized suppliers adapt manufacturing facilities for the EV supply chain, helping to maintain good-paying, union jobs in traditional auto communities

- State with a workforce of at least 0.5% in the automotive sector and qualify for at least $4 million of grant funding

- NIHHIS Heat Tabletop Exercise Planning Challenge
- Challenge with a $200,000 cash prize to be divided among the winners – inviting community leaders to develop situational manuals for tabletop exercises to build equitable resilience to a future projected extreme heat scenario.
- Co-developed by local governments and CBOs – the situation manuals should fuel tabletop exercises that build equitable resilience to extreme heat, linking shorter-term preparedness and response with longer-term planning and risk mitigation. The Challenge provides an opportunity for state, tribal, local, and territorial governments to work with community-based organizations and other key partners in developing situation manuals for novel heat tabletop exercises. Prizes will be awarded for up to ten (10) Situation Manuals.
- Development of the manual is part of a more involved process to plan and execute a full Tabletop Exercise
- 6 – 9 mos from initiation of the planning to team to the actual execution of the tabletop exercise

- Recreation Economy for Rural Communities
- Assistance for community engagement and planning over 8 – 12 months with the focus on a convening workshop. Encouraged to pursue activities that foster environmentally friendly community development and Main Street revitalization through conservation and sustainable use of public or private forests or other natural resources (e.g. expanding trail networks, developing in-town amenities such as broadband, marketing local downtowns and Main Streets, facilitating good stewardship)
- Eligible entities: local governments, Tribes, nonprofits orgs and institutions; local colleges, universities and extension agencies can also serve as lead orgs; special consideration given to small towns and rural communities, economically disadvantaged communities, communities located in the Appalachian region
