POSITION | Director of Sustainability
Merry Rankin is the Director of Sustainability at Iowa State University. In her role, she is responsible for coordinating sustainability activities in support of the Live Green! Initiative at Iowa State University, encompassing environmental, economic and social sustainability. As director, Merry focuses on bringing together multi-faceted stakeholder groups toward facilitating dialogue, collaboration and implementation.
In addition to her role as Director of Sustainability, Merry also holds the position of Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Ames – with focus on engaging community in sustainability planning and performance. Prior to coming to ISU in 2009, she worked for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources as a Program Director.
Merry is the co-chair of the Outreach & Engagement sub-committee.
