2023 Student Climate Conference

March 23 & 25, 2023

The goal of the undergraduate conference is to bring together students, staff, and faculty from colleges and universities across the Midwest to discuss important problems facing students regarding environmental issues on campus and beyond. The conference seeks to not only facilitate relationship building across campuses, but also to collaboratively work on action items that demonstrate collective support and solidarity for policy change, project development, and growth of a collective movement.

The 2023 Student Conference took place online March 23 and 25, 2023.

Day 1 speakers:

  • Communicating about Environmental Justice & Community-Driven Social Media with Thi Nguyen & Taylor Harris, educators and independent consultants – 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Crossing the Partisan Divide with Brian Martinez, American Conservation Coalition – 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Patrick Arnold, 10 Billion Strong – Leadership Workshop on Taking Action- 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Sami Aaron: The Resilient Activist, Visionary Activism (guided mediation!)- 1:30-2:30 p.m.
